Parking at shopping centres and shops

GPP Variant - parking system for shopping centres

The GPP Variant parking system enables the customers to enter parking zones of shopping centres and to exit from these zones. This system is a modular system that allows the car park to be connected to the city guidance systems. For the collection of parking fees, many tariffs and discounts are available for selection. The parking system can be configured in such a way as to allow free parking at a certain time. Therefore, the visitor can use free parking during a determined time period, however, the driver has to leave the car park within the required time limit. Further, a charge may be imposed on parking only during a certain time of the day, e.g. at night. The mode setting is highly variable and can be adapted to specific needs.

Even if a fee is charged for parking in the whole area of the car park, the parking system can be set to allow free exit to the customers of selected shops. The validation of cards of customers of individual companies can be performed only at manual pay stations. Each company has a virtual account established to which their customers' parking fees are allocated. The account is used for subsequent invoicing in compliance with the terms and conditions agreed between the operator and individual tenants.

A second option is to use the checking terminal of parking cards, Card Checker. This device allows parking card parameters to be changed - the card owner's parking fee is subsequently decreased according to a specific setting of a discount or the customer is allowed to leave the car park for free. The Card Checker is placed directly at individual companies and they themselves are responsible for the card validation of their customers' cards. In this case, it is also possible to find out the amount of parking fee via a report and create an invoice for this amount.

A third option is the system of discount cards. This system operates on the basis of discount cards that are distributed to individual dealers. Dealers, according to their decision, can issue a card for a customer who can use it later upon payment in the automatic pay station or at the cash desk. Dealers are registered and the overall value of all used discount cards can be ascertained.

The parking system can be combined with the camera system that is able to ensure higher security of parked vehicles and contribute to better arrangement of the traffic within the car park area.

The parking system can be further supplemented with the GPP PGS2 light parking guidance system. GPP PGS2 helps customers to find their way in the car park and contributes to the decrease of traffic caused by drivers seeking vacant parking spaces.
